Thank you for your interest in sharing your story on The Common Ground Podcast. We are committed to producing high-quality content that honors the depth and significance of each guest’s journey. Unlike some podcasts that may adopt a casual approach, we believe your story deserves thoughtful preparation and respect. Our structured process ensures that your experience is both meaningful and rewarding.

1. Initial Registration

To begin, please complete our brief registration form. This form will collect basic information about you, a preliminary overview of your story, and the topics you’d like to discuss. You may also include a media or bio sheet to provide additional context.

While we value your achievements, our primary focus is on the experiences that have shaped you—the challenges you’ve overcome, lessons learned, and inspirations that have guided you. Please indicate any topics that are off-limits to ensure a respectful and comfortable dialogue.

Please Note: Submission of this form does not guarantee selection as a guest.

2. Preliminary Video Meeting (This is not the recording Episode)

You will receive a Calendly link to schedule our preliminary Zoom meeting. This session aims to:

  • Establish rapport and discuss your story in greater depth.
  • Review your submitted materials.
  • Share potential questions.
  • Address any concerns you may have.
  • Discuss potential recording dates or a time frame for recording.

While the podcast will be conversational and unscripted, this meeting helps set expectations and ensures your comfort with the topics to be explored.

3. Scheduling and Format Selection

Scheduling and Recording:

Due to the high volume of guest requests, please be aware that you may be placed on a waiting list. We are currently scheduling recordings up to 3 to 4 months in advance. Initially, all recordings will be conducted remotely using Riverside FM, a platform designed for high-quality remote interviews.

In-Person Recordings:

As the podcast evolves, we may offer in-person recording sessions. For on-location recordings, we require:

  • Written permission from the venue.
  • A signed waiver from the venue.

Release Agreement:

Once all details are finalized, you will receive a contract outlining the agreed-upon information. This contract, along with the venue waiver (if applicable), must be signed and returned prior to the recording session.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we coordinate our recording schedule.

Additional Opportunities:

We also offer our guests the opportunity to write a guest blog post related to their podcast episode. This is optional but can provide additional exposure for your story. If you’re interested, please let us know, and we’ll provide further details. If you choose to write a guest post, we will release it one week before we release your episode to add to the excitement of your episode.

4. Final Preparation Meeting

As we approach your recording date for The Common Ground Podcast, I would like to schedule a final meeting within seven days of the recording. This session is designed to:

  • Review the structure of your upcoming episode.
  • Confirm all logistical details, including recording times and technical requirements.
  • Address any last-minute questions or adjustments.

This meeting ensures that you feel fully prepared and confident ahead of the recording session. It’s also an opportunity to discuss any additional topics or concerns you may have.

5. Recording the Podcast

On the day of recording, please present yourself authentically and professionally—this is your moment to shine. Your genuine voice and insights are what make our conversations impactful.

Technical Details:

Our recordings are conducted using Riverside FM, a platform designed for high-quality remote interviews. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet environment for the best recording experience.

Post-Recording Engagement:

If you wish to host a post-recording Q&A session, please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

We are excited to have you on the podcast and look forward to our conversation.

Following our recording session, our team will undertake the editing process to ensure a polished final product. This includes:

Our goal is to maintain the authenticity of our conversation while enhancing the overall listening experience.
